I've always been criticized for not being original; that my works have undertones of other artists' styles. The fact is, I've never been the kind to run after glory. I do what I do not to stand out but because it has always been what I love to do. 

It has never been about trying to impress an audience, but about exploring what joy there is in creating. If an artist took pleasure in a form, technique, or medium; heck, I'd try that out.
